At The Crafted Home and Kitchen, our goal is to make remodeling a pleasant experience for you. We are a full-service renovations firm. We can design and renovate any area of your home, and coordinate all aspects of your renovation project. From our years of experience in New York City renovations, we can help you get the most out of virtually any size or shape of space.
Design, Drafting, Architecture
Our in-house designer will work closely with you to convert your wish list into floor plans and elevations. You will "see" how your home will look before ordering your cabinets, built-in furniture, or appliances.
Installation
After planning, we will provide you with accurate and firm estimates. We will take care of your plumbing and electrical needs, add or remove walls, refinish or replace flooring, and install built-in furniture, cabinetry, appliances, tiles, countertops—in short, everything including the kitchen sink.

If you are a builder, contractor, architect, certified designer or kitchen planner, we offer a Custom and Semi-Custom Cabinetry Program for you. MANAGEMENT
President
Tom Krauss has 35 years of quality-oriented management experience covering every aspect of design, manufacturing, and installation. He graduated from CCNY with a B.A. in English, a minor in Electrical Engineering, and the highest Art Department award for his photography. Tom began his business career shortly after graduation by designing and manufacturing clocks and watches under his own patents. Later he created a firm to import and distribute Italian designer furniture in the USA. This led him to designing custom furniture, remodeling apartments, and managing entire building renovations.
Chief Designer
George Vazquez received his B.F.A. from Havana University. He then obtained a second degree from the School of Architecture and practiced as a licensed architect. George lived in Florida for many years, where he worked with celebrities and remodeled historical homes in Coral Gables and other upscale areas. George has designed spas, executive offices, condos, resorts, and retail stores, and he is an expert in all aspects of residential, historical, and commercial design and renovation. George has been our chief designer since he relocated permanently to New York.
Project Manager
Our Project Manager is Jesse Rabinowitz. Jesse has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University, where he also was a Peer Mentor. Additionally, Jesse formally studied Construction Project Management at NYU where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Since 2002, Jesse has managed projects of all sizes up to a $25 million dollar Jack Nicklaus golf course.
